Anxiety among university students can no longer be viewed as a transient and isolated condition, but rather as a psychological phenomenon shaped by the complex interaction of individual, social, and academic environmental factors. This issue becomes increasingly significant when educational pressures, achievement demands, and personal life dynamics converge within the same space, ultimately influencing emotional stability and students’ mental health. The study of anxiety is therefore essential, as it provides a clearer understanding of how such disorders emerge, develop, and affect quality of life, particularly among individuals in productive age groups who are in the process of building their academic and professional competencies.
This understanding is further expanded through an exploration of various contributing dimensions, including financial concerns, family dynamics, academic pressure, living conditions, and everyday health-related factors. Each aspect is examined through complementary psychological and clinical perspectives, including symptom identification, disorder classification, and the use of assessment tools such as the GAD-7 scale for early detection. The discussion also addresses coping strategies and intervention approaches applicable in higher education contexts and daily life, supported by case-based insights derived from university settings. By integrating theoretical perspectives, empirical findings, and contextual reflection, this work contributes to strengthening mental health literacy and developing more responsive strategies to address students’ psychological needs.
